Young footballers in Congleton are on the ball thanks to a stylish new strip.

Youngsters playing for Vale Juniors Under 8s team have been presented with their new kit which has been sponsored by Green Island chip shop.

Manager Gary Woodcock said: "We are once again indebted to Paul and Val from Green Island Chippy as they sponsored our strips last year, which we have passed on to this year's under 7s team.

"We only hope these strips bring us as much luck, as we only lost four games out of 44 last year. Paul and Val are consistent sponsors and supporters of Vale Juniors, for which the club is truly grateful."
